Do you think the fairies will like it ?

I've been waiting for the perfect kit to make this gorgeous fairy house, vintage pretties had everything I needed for it and so much more.  One of my lovely friends, Robyn Grant, designed the pattern.  Its totally gorgeous don't you think.

Would your like to make your own Fairy House and encourage the fairies to come and visit you ?  All you need to do is  pop a comment on the Tarisota blog telling us what your creating plans are for the festive month ahead.

A random winner will be drawn after midnight on the 11th.

The rubons in the kit were perfect, I didn't know they would work so well on the fabric !  The little toadstools are made with the covered buttons, gorgeous red velvet in the kit and some white paint (and a tiny paint brush).

I can't wait till the fairies come .......

The photo was taken by one of the kindy teachers a while back, I had to do a little bit to it with photoshop and crop it down a lot. This photo shows Abby's personality more than any photo that has ever been taken of her.
I'm loving the white space on my layouts at the moment, I just about can't scrap without it. 

There is so much to share from this kit, I do hope that you ordered yours ..... they are totally sold out.  Such a shame, especially if you missed out on the christmas extra.  I'm working on my class for that at the moment.  Its going to be awesome !  Ohhh and Tamar is also doing the blog recipes again this year so make sure that you are checking out the blog for that one.

Velvet Strawberries & other things I love ...

I was so excited to find a gorgeous piece of red velvet in this months Tarisota kit.  Then to my surprise there was also green ric rac which was so perfect to make these ...

I have a thing for strawberries , especially if they are velvet !  they were the perfect addition to this layout.  Abby on her birthday a few weeks ago .........

*sigh*  to beautiful for words.

Sshhh ....

I've been working on some gorgeous projects for this months Tarisota kit its called "vintage pretties" and I truly hope that you have yours ordered as i'm pretty sure its sold out.  I don't usually do sneak peeks of projects BUT this month is different .  I've been waiting a while to share this project with you ..... waiting for the perfect kit.  This is the perfect kit. 

You will have to wait a few more days to see it all.  Be sure to come back when the gallery goes up because i'm doing a RAK !  Its going to be so exciting.

the end of an era ...

Last week we said goodbye to kindy.  Abby turned 5 on Thursday and started school.  It was really sad to leave kindy, its been such a big part of our lives for the last few years, both Jessica and Abby totally loved their time at kindy. 

 

Last week was a whirlwind of parties, cake, putting the finishing touches on the party planning and starting school.

Thanks to an awesome book called "enchanted cakes for children" by Debbie Brown we (yes Steve and I) created this for Abbys "garden" party. 

Abby was a ladybug and Jessica had a gorgeous headpeice that I make for her.

The room was awesome, thanks to Steve again who never complains when I ask him to move furniture and totally transform our house for a party !  Someone said to me "bet your glad its all over ?  Are you kidding ...... I love kids parties, I live for this stressing myself out making sure every little detail is perfect.  I love it, I'm sad its over.  I start planning Jessicas party in January ...  her birthday is not till June.

October 09 Tarisota Kit

quick post to share my design work for Tarisota this month.

Lavender and Lace .... and beautiful velvet ribbon (velvet ribbon is on my favourite things list). 

There is more but typepad keeps crashing on me :(  I write a whole post and then its gone !!  its driving me crazy ...... is it just me or does anyone else have this problem ?
